Trivia - Quel maledetto treno blindato (1978): Fred Williamson is named as a co-writer on screenplay on deposit at the Library of Congress Copyright Office.

Trivia - Inglorious Basterds (2009): Rumor had it that Harvey Weinstein was trying to force Quentin Tarantino to cut 40 minutes of the movie after the feedback from Cannes Film Festival (which ran 148 minutes). However, Harvey denied this rumor stating that Quentin was reorganizing some scenes since he didn't have enough time to completely finish editing the film before sending it to Cannes since he was given only six weeks to edit whereas other directors are given normally six months to a year. In fact, the theatrical cut runs one minute longer than the cut that was premiered at Cannes.

Trivia: In early 2008, Paul Haggis was brought on to polish the script. After he was done, three weeks before filming, Shawn Ryan was asked to rewrite the script, and he took "a pretty big whack" at it. However, he later had to return to television, and the filmmakers "subsequently brought in one or two other writers to continue the work," most likely Anthony E. Zuiker and Jonathan Nolan. So extensive were the rewrites that Alan Dean Foster decided to rewrite the entire novelization after submitting it to his publisher, because the compiled shooting script was very different from the one he was given beforehand.
